The New Mr. & Mrs. Atkinson!
Posted by Jenn Van Wyk on Aug 21, 2010 in Featured, Wedding | Comments OffKyle and Kim were married on a beautiful, warm summer day at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison. It was my first time shooting at this venue, and I have to say it is gorgeous! I loved the old Victorian House where the girls got ready, the many, many beautiful photo locations, and of course the awesome old chair we found on the porch (more on that later!). Or maybe it wasn’t the location that was extra special, but in fact the couple. I have enjoyed getting to know Kyle & Kim while they have been planning their wedding. They are so sweet, caring, and thoughtful – it was truly and honor to be their photographer!
Also, a special thanks to Kaitlin for coming along as my second shooter. Not only was she helping me, but she is also a friend of the bride and was running around as her personal assistant. Go check out her website!
We started they day inside with Kim getting ready. All of her bridesmaids are her sisters, which made this time even more special.

Since Kim was absolutely stunning in her dress, we had to take a few just of her inside this gorgeous old home.

Kim and Kyle opted to see each other before the ceremony which worked out great. We were able to get most of our photos done beforehand and they were able to enjoy the Terrace all afternoon! We set-up a “first look” for the two of them in front on the front porch. It was a really cute moment.

Time for the ceremony!

We then had a little extra time to take a few more photos with Kim & Kyle.

I found this great old chair on the porch, so we just had to use it in a few photos – these are my favorite from the day!

Thank you Kyle and Kim for inviting me to capture your wedding day!
